Save the Children Norway - member organization of PWYP Norway

What does Save the Children Norway work with?

Save the Children Norway advocates children's rights and children's possibility to live a life in dignity, irrespective of who they are and where they live. We contribute to this through both practical work and by influencing politics, in order to create sustainable and positive changes in the lives of millions of boys and girls.

Why did Save the Children Norway choose to become a member organization of PWYP Norway?

PWYP Norway is doing important work to promote transparency and accountability in the international economy. This is vital in order to strengthen democracy and to contribute to a more fair distribution of income, both within a country and between countries. Increased transparency can help contribute to increase tax income for poor countries, providing them with the possibility to spend more money on development and to secure children's rights.

What is the added value of PWYP Norway for the Norwegian civil society?

Increased transparency is vital in order to reduce capital flight. A joint civil society has found a strong voice in PWYP Norway, a voice that contributes with knowledge and political lobbying for increased financial transparency and against capital flight.
