USA implemented in 2010 a "law":http://www.sec.gov/about/laws/wallstreetreform-cpa.pdf om åpenhet omkring skattebetalinger for børsnoterte selskaper . This was a part of the Dodd-Frank Act.
The 9th April 2013 the EU came to a similar agrement. The EU-requirements will also "include":http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-13-541_en.htm forestry. Throught teh EEA Norway will almost automatically EØS be included in the EU-directive
The EU agreement and the Dodd-Frank law are necessary, but not sufficient, regulation on transparency. Reporting on isolated figures of tax payments, detached from any context, gives little meaning. How can a reader know if those tax payments are correct?
